The picture below shows my peas...

...sunflowers, pumpkin and courgettes having their daily acclimation outside of the greenhouse. This is important not just to get them used to a cooler temperature, but also wind to strengthen their core. Unhappy plants succumb to multiple ailments and ultimately slugs and disease.
I still bring them back inside at night but then look for a window of “no frost” nights before planting out.

This falls into two categories a; any seedling grown under glass will need to adjust (eg broad beans, lettuce and peas which are semi-hardy) and b; those plants which will die if there is a frost (eg courgettes, cucumbers, tomatoes and French and runner beans)
